September – Honeysuckle 

Now is a good time to prune Honeysuckle. Once they have finished flowering shorten all stems by a third. The main shoots can also be thinned, retaining the young ones. 

Other plants to prune now – Summer flowering Jasmine, even if they are still flowering, prune now to make sure there will be more flowers next season.  Philadephus, Deutzia, Weigelia, Spirea, any summer flowering shrubs which have finished flowering. Cut back perennial Geraniums, Nepeta and others which have finished flowering.
